Having a dream
What is the difference between a storekeeper and an entrepreneur? One of them has a dream. And its the storekeeper.
He dreams of a large yacht or mansion. If you take a look at the model of his business, you will never see numbers even close to a million dollars. Therefore, a million dollars becomes his unattainable dream.
The entrepreneur, on the other hand, has a goal. And if there is a goal, then there is a plan for achieving it. The plan, of course, may not work, but it can be changed later.
You can see the difference between a dream and a goal in everyday situations. For example, a Business Owner says that he wants to create a franchise of schools.
So you ask: “What are you doing so that this happens?”
- I am testing new teaching methods.
- Why don’t you test the opening of new schools?”
Or here is another dialog:
- I want to have a big business.
- What are you doing now?
- I work as a marketer.
- Why haven’t you opened your first business yet?
If you want to have something, you must do it. And if you do not, then you have a dream.
