Regularity beats outbursts.

I have observed two types of people. Someone is moving toward his or her goal in small increments regularly. Others are waiting until the very end and then do everything in one energy outburst in the latest moment.

Doing something every day for a year can have a tremendous cumulative effect. 1% improvement a day makes you 37 times better in a year. Regularity reduces the need for motivation. If you build something into an automatic habit, you don’t have to think about it anymore. You just do it.

Regularity fosters improvement. If you repeat the task hundreds of time,  you have a chance of seeing massive changes after a year. If you were asking yourself a simple question:  “how can I do it slightly better next time?”

Regularity fosters learning. If you start repeating a task, you will go deeper and deeper every time. You will start thinking about small nuances. And those nuances mean quality.
